I first discovered Windy Valley Muskox yarns when I started knitting again at the beginning of the pandemic. I was amazed by the wonderful variety of specialty and rare fibres used in their yarns and the interesting blends and vast colour ranges. I was also immediately impressed with the very efficient and personal customer service.
The Windy Valley yarn is very soft but strong, produces a very warm garment and is a delight to knit with. All of the blends are the perfect weight for knitting lace but also create a lovely fabric in stockinette. I have completed a number of lace items using Windy Valley patterns which I have been very pleased with and just recently knitted Donna's Hat. This pattern is very clearly written and easy to follow. Most of the hat is in stockinette but has a beautiful cable edging with one wider cable motif to the crown where it then decreases with an attractive spiral design. Since this is a unisex pattern my husband tried it on and loved it so I guess I will be making another for me! Can't wait to start my next project with Windy Valley yarn!!
