Black Fir Scarf

Black Fir Scarf

We have revamped this timeless pattern to make it available on the website, it was one of our first paper patterns for Trade Shows and the original showed the scarf with a fringe...but whether you add a fringe or not, the design remains so beautiful. So, here is another perfect project for that one precious skein you have been waiting to work with.

Love this!

I knitted the Black Fir Scarf with Windy Valley's 100% qiviut in Winter Green. It knitted up beautifully. Like most lace patterns (at least for me), it took a few rows before I "got" the pattern, but once I did, it was quite straightforward. And the yarn: mwah! I love it! Light as a cloud and so cozy! I knitted on bamboo straight needles, which for me meant that I minimized that heart-stopping risk of stitches slipping off. Also: blocking is an absolute must. Impossible to bring out the delicate beauty of this yarn and lace pattern without it. If you're thinking about getting either the yarn or the pattern, or both: just do it. You won't regret it!
