I enjoyed knitting the Monique Beret using the Bison and Silk Yarn in the color Alaska Autumn. It turned out beautiful and the yarn was luxurious to knit with. I followed the pattern exactly and had 4.5 grams left over. My ribbed band only measured 1.25” not 1.5” but it’s fine. I am a bit of a tight knitter, so my finished hat was only about 7.5” long, not 9.5” … so I stretched it a bit during blocking.
I had to laugh when I returned to a sock project afterwards and the sock yarn felt thick and rough (comparatively speaking) even though it’s lovely sock yarn. That’s just how soft the bison/silk yarn is!! I highly recommend Windy Valley Muskox yarn and this pattern. Cheers!
I just finished knitting the Monique Beret using only 1 skein of Qiviut Merino & Silk yarn in English Lavender. It is so lovely! 💕
Love this pattern! Fun to knit and lovely to wear. I made it in Qiviuk, Merino and Mulberry Silk colour 2066. I think I must have a scarf to go with it!!
The yarn is lovely—soft and silky and a beautiful color.
